 Why Piano/Keyboard Lessons?

Piano and Keyboard are essentially very similar to learn and should be fun!  Whether you have learnt before or are a beginner, Vivace teachers will share with you everything to need to know, from learning where the notes on the keyboard are, to reading music and learning note values and musical terms.  Through our structured, well planned lessons your musical experience will be tailored to your individual needs, and to top it off, learning the piano improves cognitive ability!  It stretches your mind, improves your memory and co-ordination.  What a great way to exercise your mind at any age! 

What Music Will I Learn to Play?

Everybody wants to play music they enjoy! If you're a beginner, it may take some time to develop the skills you need to be able to play your favourite songs, however with help from our specially trained teachers (and a little practise at home!),  you will be playing songs you have heard before in no time!  Imagine being able to play Jingle Bells or Merrily We Roll Along after only a few lessons!

And the good news is ... the more you practise at home, the quicker you will progress.  In time you will be playing all of your favourites, whether that be the latest Adele song or an old Elton John Favourite.  Imagine serenading your family with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, or a little classical or jazz.  Whatever your goal ... it is our job to provide you with the stepping stones you need to reach your full potential! 

Do I need to buy a piano?

To get the most from your lessons at Vivace, everybody needs to practise at home.  If you are a beginner but don't have an instrument at home just yet, and are still a little unsure if playing the piano is for you, a keyboard is a great place to start!

 The Australian Music Examinations Board exams are our specialty!  AMEB have a wide range of examination options available, and can cater for students of all ages and musical styles.  Ask us how, and we will tailor your lessons to your individual requirements.
